Many people haven’t made a Will yet, but it really is the only way to ensure you can remember everyone that is important to you. You might want to think about making or updating your Will when you move home, get married, have children or grandchildren or when you retire. It will give you the reassurance that your loved ones and the causes that you hold most close to your heart will continue to be provided for.
Without a Will the law decides what happens to your possessions and your estate after you die, taking no account of your family circumstances and any special wishes you may have.
A Will doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive and a solicitor can guide you through the process. One thing to remember is that any donations left to a charity are free of inheritance tax.

If you are reviewing your personal circumstances and you decide you would like to leave a gift to the Bristol Zoo Gardens in your Will, thank you very much indeed.
If you haven't already written a Will, this can easily be arranged by visiting a local solicitor.
If you already have a Will, a simple addition (codicil) can be added specifying a gift to Bristol Zoo Gardens stating the full charity name, address and details as stated below.
However much you give, no inheritance tax is payable on gifts to charities. Whether you want to leave:
a solicitor will help you express all your wishes clearly.
All you need to do is state our official charity name, address and registered charity number as stated below.
