Suitable for trainee teachers of all education levels, this session allows the students to take part in a Zoo education session and covers:

• Planning a trip to the Zoo
• The opportunities for learning at the Zoo
• What we offer in an education session

Teaching the Teachers:

As a teacher you will be asked to take children on trips to local attractions as part of their learning outside the classroom.

This session will help you understand how a visit to Bristol Zoo will provide:

• a safe and welcoming venue
• an educational stimulus for your group
• an engaging fun day out

An education officer will take you through one of our  sessions, which will be relevant to the age of the children you are training to teach.

You will meet live  animals, take part in the activities, understand the links with the national curriculum and be able to ask questions.

The session costs £42.00.
